Welcome Back to the New School Year

Welcome Back Staff

We are thrilled to welcome back our staff for another fantastic year of learning!  We welcomed new teachers to the Arcadia community on August 13th and 14th. Our new teachers engaged in professional learning to acclimate themselves to the systems, processes, curriculum, and technology tools used in Arcadia.  It can be challenging to learn so many new things in such a short period of time, but our new teachers faced the task with positivity and enthusiasm. This is an exciting time for fresh beginnings, new ideas, and shared goals, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have such talented educators joining our team.

Our full teaching staff joined in on professional learning from August 20-23 and the 27th.  During these days staff learned about new building goals and action plans, artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support education, and more about Act 20 requirements to name a few.  Support staff engaged in a learning day on August 27th to learn more about their critical role in supporting our students.  They engaged in sessions on active supervision, minor and major behaviors, and a love and logic session.   We celebrated with an all staff picnic at the Joyce Wanek Pavilion.  It was a time to share summer stories, enjoy each other’s company, and build stronger relationships with one another.

The energy and enthusiasm of all staff these past couple of weeks has been fantastic.  All staff have put in countless hours to prepare for a wonderful school year and we have no doubt it will be a fantastic year ahead.  Thank you to all the community for your continued support of the School District of Arcadia.
