Congratulations to Sallie Braun, College & Career Readiness Assistant, and recipient of the May Stronger Together Award
Each month all staff members have the opportunity to nominate their peers for the School District of Arcadia Stronger Together Award. The purpose of the Stronger Together Award is to recognize employees who serve our district in an exceptional manner by collaborating with staff, inspiring students and engaging families
Congratulations to Sallie Braun, College & Career Readiness Assistant and recipient of the May Stronger Together Award.

Sallie plays an important role at the Arcadia High School by arranging Academics and Career Planning (ACP)-focused learning activities for students each week and coordinating four ACP days throughout the school year. Her ACP work is focused on preparing students for their next step in life so they are college and career ready. Sallie helps students get connected with the right people to answer specific questions about a college, military or the workforce. She works with many outside organizations such as local businesses, universities and non-profits to provide learning opportunities for our students. This includes student trips to college campuses, bilingual FAFSA support for families and volunteer opportunities for students to name a few. In addition, Sallie coordinates our Friday WIN clubs, which allow students to broaden their horizons and pursue their individual academic and personal interests.

Sallie is incredibly responsive to both staff and student feedback. She is understanding and accommodating to the individual needs of students. They know they can go to her for anything and she will always be willing to help. Her peers always know that Sallie's "got this" because of her amazing organization and interpersonal skills. She is kind and positive; she makes our school a brighter and better place.

The School District of Arcadia is grateful for Sallie and thank her for her dedication to the Arcadia community.
